DCSSL to recruit 1200 crime prevention wardens

 

The Mpumalanga Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison (DCSSL) will recruit 1200 Crime Prevention Wardens (CPWs) who will augment already existing initiatives in the ongoing war against crime. The recruitment of the wardens will not only assist in responding to crime, but it will also help in reducing unemployment.

 

The requirements for applicants include:

  • They must between 18 and 50 years old.
  • Experience in working in crime prevention environments.
  • No criminal record.
  • Willingness to go for both physical and theoretical training
  • Minimum requirement is Grade 10 to 12.
  • A valid driving license will be an added advantage.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Patrolling crime hotspots
  • Do search and seizure operations,
  • Assist with stop and search operations
  • Assist with identifying any other criminal or suspicious activities in communities
  • Furthermore, they will work under the supervision of the South African Police Service (SAPS).

    Are the posts opened for applications or not if so why is it difficult to access the portal. Can you please provide us with an alternative methods of applying because not long we will be told its closed because of corruption then we will see people wearing uniform yet we are left behind.
