Job Purpose
The role of a picker or selected candidate in the warehouse is a crucial part of the order fulfilment process. The primary purpose is to locate and retrieve items from the warehouse inventory to fulfil customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure all items are labelled according to their standard
- Ensure packed goods to be delivered are not damaged
- Verify all goods packed before they can be dispatched
- Make sure the supervisor has signed the relevant documents before the order goes on a delivery
- Ensure the floor and workstations are to be kept clean and tidy at all times
- Adhere to health and safety policies
- Be proficiency in windows and Microsoft office suite
- Qualifications and Experience
- Grade 12 certificate
- Ability to read and write
- Ability to count
- Warehouse experience
- Good communication skills
- Trustworthy
- Clear criminal record
