Job Summary
The job is based in Wessels Mine which represents one of the largest manganese reserves in the country. The role is a permanent full-time position. As a miner, you will be responsible to mine and extract ore according to mining legislation and regulations.
Duties And Requirements
- Transport explosives and accessories, lock up and transport to the face
- Responsible for locking up extra or unused explosive and accessories
- Monitor and control blasting accessories stock levels
- Ability to take charge of the underground blasting operations within given area
- Ensure the delivery of quality product to the plant
- Achieve the daily production target
- Organise and control general road maintenance
- Be familiar with all production process, trends and brief operators accordingly at the start of each shift
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 10 report for internal
- Matric certificate external
- Clear criminal record
- Valid ID or Passport
- Underground board and pillar mining experience is advantageous
- MS Office knowledge will be advantageous
