The South African National Biodiversity Institute is looking for a self-motivated individual to take care of the National Zoological garden animals according to the required global standards of animal husbandry and welfare.

 

Minim Requirements

• Grade 10 report
• Matric will be given preference
• Any related job qualification
• Certificate in Nature Conservation will be advantageous
• Clear criminal record
• South African citizen
• Valid Id or work permit
• Physically and mentally fit to work in animals environment

 

 

Key duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with animal displays, breeding and capturing.
• Perform pest control and enclosure infrastructure maintenance
• Responsible for tool and equipment care
• Perform administration, human resources and stakeholders related duties
• Adhere to health and safety policies
• Implement environmental environment and animal conditioning training plans
• Other required duties
